“Meet the Chef” Lunch with Floyd Cardoz

Maina Foundation held a special and exclusive lunch at Paowalla restaurant in New York City on November 4th, 2017. Guests were be able to meet-and-greet with the critically acclaimed Chef Floyd Cardoz, enjoy a three course meal and hear updates on Maina Foundation’s efforts from board members.

Chef Floyd Cardoz is a celebrated Indian-American chef with restaurants in New York and India. He opened The Bombay Canteen in Mumbai, India and was chef at Tabla in New York City. He has written a cook book Flavorwalla: Big Flavor, Bold Spices, A New Way to Cook the Foods You Love and won season three of Bravo’s Top Chef Masters. He received the first ever “Humanitarian of the Year Award” from Food TV and Share our Strength in 2007. In his latest restaurant, Paowalla, he presents traditional and local Indian flavors and dishes through a modern American lens.
